Vara Rōja, Kalana, Varana Kalana, Uposata
King Rōja was succeeded by King Vara Naga who came to be known to the country as Vara Rōja.
After five years king Vara Rōja became the victim to a sword wielded by an enemy who came in the guise of a friend.
He declared that the dead King’s soul had been taken over by him and proclaimed that his orders were the orders of that very same King.
Since the news that this rogue Kalana had killed a member of the Manu dynasty, security was tightened in the palace by Kalana.
Even though security was tightened at the palace, the King through the effect of some past sin could not protect himself from his brother. Vara Kalana who heard that his brother had died after eating the poisoned meal, ascended the throne hastily.
Citizens rebel
When kings tread the wrong path, wise citizens arm themselves with the powerful weapon of rebellion and bring down the government.
Vara Kalana who was overcome with fear fled from the palace through a secret exit never to return.
