14. The story of the two Kings Andaka and Sisupala
King Andaka

Just as the Banyan (Nuga) tree which is the walking tree true to the origins of its name, because it grows from place to place though the main tree is no longer in existence, the dynasty of Hela kings spread with glory in the land of the Helese from King Senkanda of Kataragama.

Four thousand years after King Mahasen there was a noble Asura King by the name of Andaka in Pihitirata. (Rajarata).

The city which became the capital of King Andaka was later known as the city of Pulathisi and dazzled as if to say what better sight could there be.

King Andaka gained erudite by writing books for the benefit of other, spending even sleepless night.

As King Andaka’s fame spread in India, a powerful rogue King by the name of Vijaya came here from Gujarat.

He captured King Andaka alive as he wished by sending a shower of a new variety of poisonous arrows and the Gujarati became King capturing Pulathisipura, after perung the Kings eyes with a heated iron pin.

The Gujeratis oppressed the Helese by force of arms for a long time until the Asura armies were able to rise again.
