Offerings to the Devalas
This King made offerings regulary to the four Sun devalas in memory of his father adding the name of Isuru thereto.
The Sun devala which was situated close to the port of Manu.(Manutota) in the North came to be known as Hiru Devi Isuru Devala due to its association with the name of Isuru.
The Devala of Tunmale came to be known us Hiru Gana Isuru like a memorial to the names of his father king and brother king.
The Manisuru Devala (presently Munneswaram) was built for the worship of Isuru who was leading the life of hermit in the role of a “Maha Muni”
He named the place in Kotmale hill country where his father King fell in love with his mother as Sivanola.
As a Siva devala was erected on top of mount Sivanola, the name Sivanola itself changed into Savanola and thereafter to Samanola.
The Uma Devala too was dedicated to the queen mother known across the country as Kali and Gauri.
The devala where the Queen like unto a pinnacle of honour to Helese women engaged in religious observances earned the name of Irugal Tilaka bringing honour to Lanka.
