Renunciation of Lak Vijaya

On the day that his daughter-in-law became the mother of Prince Kanda, the king did not delay after having seen his grandson’s face.

Since he was starting the third generation, the name “Munupura” befits him and I in the third row from him would get the name ‘Muni’” King Lak Vijaya pondered in this manner and left for a forest to live as a hermit after installing his son Siva as King.

Thus ends the eight canto which describes the honeymoon of Siva and Uma, King Siva’s coronation and King Lak Vijaya’s renunciation.
