01 . The coronation of king Manu
Proclomation to the country
“People living in all parts of the country, let us all assemble with whatever weapons we have and show our prowess in the art of war so that we may choose the ablest person to be our leader.”
This was the message proclaimed by the tom tom beaters who traversed the roads in all parts of the country. Thus read the full message to the people of the country;
“The birds in the sky have the eagle as their king. So do the fish in the sea with the whale as their king. The animals in the forest have amongst them the lion who roars fearlessly that he is their king.
The sun rules the sky holding sway over all stars. Yet we who belong to the sun race are still without a king.
May all the Helese living in all directions of the country gather in their war attire at the grounds where the Bak Maha festival (festival of the month of April) is being held so that we may choose our own king.
The one who shows his dexterity in sports and the art of war and defeats his opponents winning the hearts of the people shall have the honour of adorning his head with the crown.
